1. Amer Fort, Jaipur : The Amber(Amer) fort is located on a hill on foot of the Aravali range and was built in 16th Century by Raja Man Singh I .It is one of the best places to visit in Jaipur. It comprises Deewan-e-aam ( Hall of Public Audiences ),Deewan-e-khas

(hall of private audiences) Sheesh Mahal (wall of mirrors),many gates and cobbled path to Shila mata temple. This fort was declared a UNESCO World heritage site in 2013.

2. Mehrangarh Fort, Jodhpur: Located in Jodhpur, Mehrangarh Fort is one of the largest forts in India .It was built in 15th century by Rao Jodha. It has seven gates Palm prints of Ranis(queens) can be witnessed who willingly cremated themselves(sati) on funeral pyre of their dead husband Raja Man Singh. Mehrangarh fort museum comprises of Elephant howdahs, Palanquins, Royal armoury, paintings, musical instruments, costumes and furniture. Old cannons are also preserved.

3.Sonar Kila , Jaisalmer: Jaisalmer Fort was built in the 12th century by Rawal Jaisal. The sandstone the fort is built from took the color desert sand, so as the sun changed it stayed cleverly camouflaged and giving it the name the “golden fort”(Sonar Quila). There is a museum that exhibits a fine collection of armors, portraits and paintings dilating the heroic period of the Rajput clans. At the entrance of the fort there is a small market where you can shop some Rajasthani traditional attires. It is one of the few forts where people still live there.

4.Chittorgarh : One of the oldest forts in Rajasthan that was built in the 7th century during the Mauryan period by Chitrangda Mori. The Chittorgarh Fort is yet another magnificent architecture that arrests the eyes of travelers from all over the world. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site .

The famous Chittorgarh fort, which is one of the largest forts in India, is situated on a 180 meter high hill that rises from the banks of river Berach. The fort is known for its seven gates namely Padan Gate, Ganesh Gate, Hanuman Gate, Bhairon Gate, Jodla Gate, Lakshman Gate and the main gate which is named after Lord Ram.

The Chittorgarh fort houses many palaces, like the Rana Kumbha Palace, the Fateh Prakash Palace, the Tower of Victory and Rani Padmini’s Palace.

5.Kumbhalgarh Fort: The Kumbhalgarh Fort is one of the significant heritage sites in Rajasthan near Udaipur widely known for its serpentine 36 kilometers long wall comprising seven huge imposing gates.

Hulla Pol, Hanuman Pol, Ram Pol, Bhairava Pol, Paghra Pol, Top-khana Pol and Nimboo Pol which are bolstered by watch towers and bastions. It was built in the 15th century atop the Aravalli Mountains by Rana Kumbha.
